I know, it's been a while since I've posted here. The past month has been a bit of a moving nightmare - I'm moving 20 years of accumulated junk out of a 2600 square foot house all by my self. It's a long story...
Anyway, Neurolinker continues to grow and now close to 1700 websites. So, 2000 websites is getting very close - my guess is that we'll get there in another month or so. People are starting to get well over 100 backlinks per site just from website matching. Lots of people are also actively engaged in doing the collaborative social bookmarking and are getting permanent one way backlinks from bookmarking sites. These links are starting to show up in Yahoo Site Explorer, and the search engines are starting to reward site owners with better search engine positioning.
Hopefully my moving and house renovations will all be done within a couple of weeks, just in time for Christmas. I'm looking forward to 2009 and I hope everyone out there is too.

Now at 1300 Websites
I haven't been posting in a couple of weeks since I've been very busy with helping someone in my family move. But now that I'm back to driving Neurolinker, I can report that the website count is now above 1300 websites. I fully expected the number of websites in the system to continue to grow at this rate, and I'm happy to see the promise of the Neurolinkr system coming to fruition.
More and more users are starting to use the social bookmarking system inside Neurolinker as well, which gives them permanent backlinks from social bookmarking sites.

New Collaborative Social Bookmarking Feature
Neurolinker continues to evolve, as I scour the web for more good ways to get links. The newest feature I added to neurolinker is collaborative social bookmarking (CBM), which is a fancy term that basically means the each user gets a chance to help out each other user by doing some social bookmarking on places like StumbleUpon, Furl and Delicious. When you do bookmarking for others, you get brownie points that Neurolinker actually keeps track of. If you have more brownie points than everyone else, then your sites filter to the top of everyone's bookmarking task list. So the more you bookmark for others, the more they will bookmark for you. This is a pretty simple way for everyone to get permanent one way backlinks to their site.

We Did It! 1000 Sites
We just passed the 1000 website mark. Neurolinker continues its robust growth at around 20-40 new websites each and every day. All these sites are indexed in the search engines, and all these sites are regular websites from real people, not some spammy blog farm. People are getting some nice relevant links. I have some sites in there as well. I have a credit card website (PR3) where virtually every single one of my outlinks and backlinks is related to credit cards, debt management or loans. I'm really pleased with how relevant the links are in most cases. Of course I've had a few cases where poeple with one and only one website in very obscure niches and no patience have been disappointed that Neurolinker couldn't get the a ton of links in their obscure little niche. But virtually everyone in the network is seeing some terrific backlinks and some good search engine ranking improvement as well.
I also started another backlink blog at my domain name neurolinker.biz to get a little more mileage out of my neurolinker domains.

Article Marketing in Neurolinker
I just released the new features in Neurolinker - the most important of which is the new Article Marketing feature. Now you can add up to 100 articles for each of your websites. These articles show up as separate pages on other people's websites, giving you some nice backlinks in context, just the way the search engines like. Similarly, you can also host other people's articles on your own site and get a ton of free content.
I added several other features to the latest version too:
Finally, we're closing in on 1000 sites - we should be there by the weekend at the latest!
I added several other features to the latest version too:
- Users can now specify manual categories for their websites to help Neurolinker decide how to get more relevant links
- Users can now reject a small precentage (1 out of every 10) of their outlinks.
- The linkpage now has links to some of the links/resources pages on the member sites in order to give help the search engines index and rank the linkpages themselves.
- The Main Page now tracks user support requests to help users find their support request ticket numbers

Now Over 900 Sites
Neurolinker continues to grow rapidly and now has over 900 websites in the system. This means that websites are getting more and more backlinks each week that goes by. By early next week, I plan to roll out a new version of Neurolinker that will add some article marketing features to the system, which I know will make existing users really happy and will bring in a whole bunch of new people as well.
Neurolinker Without Curl
I had a few customers who had access to PHP on their sites, but their hosting account did not allow the use of curl. Curl is the package inside PHP that allows PHP to communicate between servers, and my code needs this to get the linkpage HTML for each site. But since curl isn't available for some people, I decided to develop a version that didn't use curl. Instead it uses native low level network communication functions inside PHP to do the HTTP GET command directly. For the end user, this simply means they have an additional PHP file to install on their servers to make the thing work. But users report that it works fine, so now there is indeed an option available for people who have PHP without curl.

Over 800 Sites and Growing
The Neurolinker network just passed 800 sites, continuing its rapid expansion. At this rate we'll hit 1000 sites in the next week or so!
I haven't posted recently because I'm furiously at work on some new Neurolinker features that will make the system blow the door off the competition. I don't want to give it away just yet, but there is one new feature in particular that will bring a huge smile to fams of one particular highly effective link building technique. I expect everything will be done by the end of this week, then tested for a few days and rolled out. Keep an eye out for a big anouncement,

Another Article and 650 Websites
Neurolinker continues to grow fast and furiously. We're now at 650 websites and growing fast. As usual I have been spending some time on helping some people get their websites into the system. many of these folks could have had a much easier time of it if they had just read the tutorials like I asked. On the other hand, we found one issue with the ASP.Net version of the code on one server where code placed in the App_Code subdirectory wasn't being recognized. (If you have ever worked with C# and ASP.Net you'll know what this directory is. PHP users don't have to worry about it). Anyway, as a result of this issue, i came up with a single file version of the ASP.Net code, which i will be using in the future in place of the two file ASP.Net code that is in Neurolinker now. I have almost no ASP.Net users, so this isn't a high priority issue now, but I'll make the change in a day or so.
I also have a new article out on ezinearticles.com called How to Bring Visitors to Your Website. It talks of course about the advantage of getting backlinks for SEO.

Over 600 Sites and Growing Fast!
Neurolinker now has more than 600 websites in the system. Only a couple of weeks ago it had about 200. I'm seeing some really nice growth and it looks more and more like the network is reaching critical mass, beyond which it will really explode in size. The people that got in early and who have been patient with our few growing pains will be amply rewarded with lots and lots of links.
I'll be making some nice additions to Neurolinker over the next couple of weeks, to improve the relevancy of links, add some links in context, and add some minor visual appearance tweaks. All these changes will make it even easier for people to get more backlinks.
I'll get started on these as soon as I get my main PC back from repair - I had a nasty virus-induced crash yesterday. I still have all my files but my OS is toast. I'll get a fresh install of Windows XP along with my old data, but I'll need to reinstall my entire development environment, which won't be much fun. But I should be back in action in a day or two.

Another Article and WSO
I had another article published at ezinearticles.com. This one is called Build A Squidoo Lens to promote Your Website and is (you guessed it) about how to build a Squidoo lens. I built one a couple weeks ago and it has started to get some visitors and started to drive some traffic to the Neurolinker backlinks system website. Building a lens is basically a slightly more significant writing effort than creating an article for article marketing purposes. But Squidoo seems to get lots of attention these days, from Google and from viewers, so it is definitely worth the effort.
I also bumped up the Warrior Special Offer (see the WSO discount offer for Neurolinker) again to the top of the WSO list. I'll run this for another few days, then I think it's back to the regular price. Neurolinker is closing in on 600 sites now, and when we get to 1000 sites the price will go up again. The price is still WAY lower than the competition (see 3Waylinks or LinkVana) even though Neurolinker gives you better links and superiod customer service. But it looks like the word is getting out, and the network seems to keep growing day by day!

New Article on Backlinks and SEO
I just got a new article published on ezinearticles.com. The article is called Relevant Backlinks Are the Key to SEO. It pretty succinctly lays out why you need backlinks to get good search engine prositioning. I'll be writing more articles over the next few days as well.

Neurolinker Has 500 Sites
Neurolinker now has 500 sites in the system and is growing at 20-30 sites per day. The folks who got in early are getting rewarded handsomely because they locked in a low cost for all the links that they are now getting and the flood of new links they will be getting over the next few months. This thing is definitely starting to snowball!
One thing I noticed unfortunately is that some new users don't read any of the tutorials as instructed, then try to submit their sites incorrectly and get mad at me when I decline their site. I changed the Welcome box in the main page to more strongly emphasize that people really should read the tutorials first. It isn't hard at all to use Neurolinker once you get the hang of it, and I give great fast customer service, so I try to make it clear to people that it really won't be a problem. Unfortunately some people don't want to put in any effort at all. Oh well, their loss. The people who read the tutorials and then submit their sites correctly are thrilled at the great results they're seeing. So are the people to whom I gave some help during the submission process.

Warrior Forum Specials on Neurolinker
Since Neurolinker is a system that needs lots of websites in order to be successful, I decided to seed the system a bit by making a membership offser so irresistable that lots of people would jump in. I created a Warrior Special Offer on Neurolinker that is selling like hotcakes and giving people an amazing deal. The WSO offer is here:
Unlimited Backlinks, Neurolinker WSO
The price has been increasing as memberships get sold out, but even now the there are lifetime memberships left at $32 total. Get them while you can because the price will be going back to the normal $19.95/month very soon.

Qassia.com: My Intel About On-Page SEO
I just found a site called qassia.com that seems to be a bit like Squidoo. On Quassis, you create pages called "Intel" that are alot like Squidoo lenses. Anyway, I created a page about On-Page SEO tricks that tells you some things you can do to your own site to make it appelaing for the search engines. I discuss things like meta tags, header tages, keywords, etc. of course, most of SEO these days is backlinks, but these tricks will still help drive more traffic to your website.

Neurolinker Launches
After a year of development and a month of successful beta testing, I launched the Neurolinker system last week. This system provides users with a potentially unlimited number of backlinks from related websites. It uses some complex numerical algorithms to figure out which sites are related to which other sites, and then links these sites together in such a way that all links are one way links. The more users join the system, the more links become available for everyone to get. Neurolinker is a revolutionary system for giving websites unlimited relevant backlinks and I believe it will be quite successful in boosting website traffic for webmasters who use it.
